Michelle Schvabenitz

Co-Founder, MGRM

Well, hey there, folks! I'm Michelle Schvabenitz, and I'm proud to be one of the co-founders at Affordic. While my better half lives for the thrill of taking risks, I'm more of a steady-as-she-goes kinda gal. But don't let that fool you - I'm the glue that holds our team together!

I bring a unique perspective to the table. As you see, my story has an interesting beginning. I originally planned to pursue a career in the medical field, but life had other plans for me. After a few twists and turns, I found myself doing all sorts of jobs, gaining a renassiance of skills. All of which has helped with Affordic.

My Story

Hey there! The name's Michelle Schvabenitz, and I'm from the wild, wild West! I'm a first-generation American and a Colorado native with a interesting story of how I got to this very moment. From a young age, I was head-over-heels in love with science and the mysteries of the human body. I was dead set on becoming a physician, but then I met my main squeeze, Nicholas, in 2013.

When I first met Nick, he was in the United States Air Force, and he told me all about his passion for aviation. It was my push that gave him the courage he needed to go forward with his aviation career, but little did I know that our life together would take us on a wild ride across the country. Our scenic exploration is accompanied by it's own interesting adventures.

I started my journey in Public Health at the University of Colorado Denver, but moving around with Nick made it impossible to keep studying there. So, I transferred it to Kent State University, Ohio, where I found a remote Clinical Trials Research program in Public Health that let me keep chasing my dreams.

Over the year of studying, my passion for my dream career smoldered. After graduating, I worked as an intern at the University of Pittsburgh, hoping to reignite my passion for Public Health. But I soon discovered that it wasn't my cup of tea. So, I started supporting Nick's dream to fly and stumbled upon web design. When my mother-in-law's bakery website, Patti's Pastries, was passed onto me, my creative mind went to work.

These days, I'm rocking it at Affordic, where I do a little bit of everything, from analyzing data to designing cool stuff to managing the day-to-day office shenanigans. But the best part of my job? Our office K-9, who never fails to put a smile on my face. My story is proof that life can take you on an unexpected journey full of twists, turns, and surprises.
